Completing this upgrade ensures your credentials remain current and compliant for delivering and assessing nationally recognised training.

You will gain expertise in competency-based assessment, training facilitation, developing assessment tools, integrating core skills into training and mentoring and workplace learning.

Online Learning
Complete your training through self-paced online modules, allowing you to study anytime, anywhere. This option is ideal for learners who prefer flexibility and want to progress at their own pace, with access to learning resources, assessments, and trainer support throughout the course.

Virtual Classrooms
Participate in live, trainer-led virtual sessions that offer real-time interaction and guidance. Virtual classrooms provide structured learning with opportunities to ask questions, engage in discussions, and collaborate with other participants, while still offering the convenience of remote attendance.

Blended Learning

Upgrade Process

Step 1 – Application

• Provide a copy of your training and assessment qualifications
• Pay the $49 application fee - this amount will be credited towards your upgrade if you choose to proceed

Step 2 - Confirmation and Learning Plan

• Our team will verify your credentials and review your Units of Competency
• We will recommend a Learning Plan and provide the final pricing details

Step 3 - Actively Engage in Your Studies

• Your Learning Plan will outline the Units of Competency you need to complete
• Most upgrade applicants follow a blended learning approach, including:
  • Online Learning
  • RPL Upgrades (Recognition of Prior Learning)
  • Gap Training
  • Credit Transfers

Step 4 – Completion and Certification

• Once you successfully complete all requirements, you will be issued with the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the TAE40122 Upgrade, you must:

• Have demonstrated vocational competence in your training area
• Possess language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills to complete assessments
• Have basic computer skills and internet access
• Hold a previous version of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or relevant TAE skill sets
