TAESS00028 Work Skill Instructor Skill Set – Course Information
Course Delivery and Assessment
This skill set will enable you to serve as a work skill instructor or provide nationally recognised training under supervision within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. Consequently, you will be eligible to begin your role as a Trainer in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) without the necessity of completing the entire TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
What You'll Study
To successfully achieve this qualification you must successfully complete the following units:
- TAEDEL311 – Provide work skill instruction: This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct individual and small group instruction, demonstrating work skills using existing support materials.
- TAEPDD401 – Work effectively in the VET sector: This unit focuses on operating within the VET sector's regulatory and operational framework, ensuring compliance and effective practice.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements to enrol in this course, however you need basic computer skills and have sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills to complete assessments.
It is a condition of enrolment in any nationally recognised training (accredited) course that you supply the training organisation with a valid unique student identifier (USI). If you don't already have a USI, you can apply for one online at www.usi.gov.au or we can apply for one for you.
Licensing/Regulatory Information
There are no specific licensing, legislative, or certification requirements associated with this skill set at the time of publication. It supersedes the TAESS00014 Enterprise Trainer - Presenting Skill Set, with updated units reflecting current industry needs.
Support When You Need It
Throughout the duration of your course you can access experienced industry professionals and support staff to guide you through the program. Our trainers are dedicated to helping you succeed, and will be available to answer your questions and provide feedback on your progress. They will provide you with the guidance and support you need to fully understand the course material, as well as offer suggestions for further learning opportunities.

Pathways
These units contribute credits towards the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, as well as other qualifications that include these units. Should you decide to pursue the complete Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) in the future, the units from this course will be eligible for direct credit transfer, eliminating the need for repetition. Additionally, we will lower the cost of your Certificate IV course for each unit that qualifies for credit transfer.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Accelerate your journey towards obtaining a formal qualification by receiving credit for your existing knowledge. We can evaluate your skills, directly transfer credits from your prior successful studies, and grant you advanced standing in your course.
